A lonely heart amongst endless lies
Set forth unto the darkening skies
To bring faith and hope to those who have none
A part of an endless war we have won
Yet the end draws nigh with the coming light For the war is fought here, in the shadow of night
With ages past and forgotten truth
We fail the lessons of our youth
Safe in our beds in the morning light
We forget the battles we forever fight
